Hiked from the Elder-Fehn trailhead down to the Ring the Peak trail and walked a ways on it from the North Catamount Reservoir down to Vayhinger and back. About 5 miles total for the hike (165 runtotal). Snow up to about a foot but averaging more like a few inches in most places - a few areas on the road were clear. Could have snow-shoed. Spikes and gaiters not a bad idea, but doable without. Trails are not visible under the snow so you have to follow tracks of others or know where you're going. The RTP road is the exception.
