Clear Springs Ranch - Heron Rookery Hike 4/27/13

Flat hike from Clear Springs Ranch north to the rookery, maybe 5 or 6 miles round trip I think.  Little shade so could be very hot.  Scenery is plains/ranch style.  I would like to return to explore the sod house.

Nice hiking location in town. Good views and fun rocks to climb.  Limited number of trails, so if you've been there once or twice and explored, you've seen it.  But it is still good hiking and while you will run into some other people it doesn't feel super crowded.
