Turkey Creek Ranch 8/5/13

The ranch had 5-6 inches of rain on Saturday - evidence of flooding everywhere.  One of the bridges was washed out and a culvert on hwy 9 was also washed out.  Muddy but walkable on the ranch itself.  Good view of a Yellow-breasted Chat (no photo).

Castlewood Canyon 8/1/13

I think this was the fourth time I've hiked here.  Not sure if I've been in August before - fewer wild flowers, but the cherries were ripe.  A little on the muggy side today, hike distance about 6.5 miles.

We added a stone to each of the big cairns.  This is pre-addition. :)

 I guess this Saturday is anniversary of the dam burst and the park has special activities that day.
