Birding 101 - Southern FCRP, McRae and Big Johnson

Some great birds for me today even though it was technically a slow bird day:  good view of House Wrens and heard them a lot, Black-chinned hummingbird, Eastern and Western Kingbirds, Bullock's Oriole (beautiful!!! - but didn't get the photo), Cooper's Hawk, and then after the official trip White Pelicans, Double-Crested Cormorants and Turkey Vultures at Big Johnson.  Also a good picture of a Barn Swallow and baby Great-Horned Owls and a really nice one of a Horned Lark that posed for me.  Struck out on trying to find a Burrowing Owl.
