Dome Rock SWA 7/28/16

170
First time hiking here - we went about 2/3 down Dome Rock trail and back - nice hike but uphill is on the way back - not so hard, though.  Four Mile Creek is pretty high and to keep going further than we did you eventually have to cross it (i.e. go through it), which can be fun, but if you have lots of hiking left to do you may not want to with wet feet, possibly.  Saw a nice beaver lodge and dam along the way. We plan to go back in fall sometime!

Looking back to Pikes Peak

Jack Rabbit Lodge ruins - built by John Husted, supposedly visited by Teddy Roosevelt - burned down in 40's.

We kept going.
