Mississippi Kite pair building a nest, El Paso County 5/16/19. They wrangle with the green twigs with their feet until they break a piece of off then fly to the nearby other tree where they drop the piece and then kind of weave it in with the rest. They always seem to pick slightly precarious footholds in rather flimsy trees (they seem to love old scraggly Dutch Elms) at least around here.
