Teller County Cemeteries 8-3-19

155

Woodland Park Cemetery

They put a mailbox at their son's grave and wrote him letters on his 16th and 18th birthdays.  He died when he was 3.

I guess he was a Chevy fan?

Not often there is still Spring snow on Pikes Peak in August!

I wonder what the story is here....

3 young sons - probably genetic issue? One has baseballs around his grave, another has a train track.

Several graves had whiskey left at them, or beer.

This grave at the Divide Cemetery from the 20s was grown over with wild roses.

Mountain Bluebird

juvenile Violet-Green Swallow

Another one with a story
Steve Irwin (Crocodile Hunter) doll

Lark Sparrow

Cemetery backs up to Florissant Fossil Beds land

Four Mile Cemetery has a great view of Dome Rock and Pikes Peak.
