Fountain CBC 12/14/15

Mel and I covered area 8 M. Christian Open Space and area 7 west of the bridge in the Fountain Creek Regional Park.  About 3 miles (173.5).

Electric Safari Cheyenne Mountain Zoo 12/11/15

Mom and I had a lot of fun at Electric Safari - a lot of animals normally sedentary during the day were active - the beaver, the tiger, the Amur leopard, the armadillo, the sloth, the lions.... Lots of beautiful lights, too!

I tried some panoramas - cut down on the too-long exposure for added crispness, but came out too dark I think.

The tiger pictures mostly came out blurry like this and it reminded me of a children's book my dad had called Little Black Sambo where the tigers move so fast they melt to ghee.

The two above were some long exposures with movement just for fun.

I didn't get a really good one of the lights at the lake at the Broadmoor.

The red string of lights would blink on and off - probably the airport.

These were so awesome in person.

Lots of people lined up to see Santa.

Bear Creek Christmas 12/4/15

Clear Spring Ranch 12/5/15

We walked about 5.5 miles (170.5 runtotal) down at Clear Spring Ranch.  We took the right turn we hadn't taken before down to the Old Pueblo Road crossing.  We headed back north and had a short excursion around Little Fountain Creek before we needed to head back due to a storm coming in.

The guy in the neon vest just got let off the train and is meeting someone picking him up.  After this, the engineer came around the bend and stuck his head out the window, greeted us, and blew his horn for us.

Hundreds of these flew over today.
