Cottonwood Pass 7/7/15

Ten-hour road trip to Tincup via Cottonwood Pass.  A rainy day but still pretty views.  We saw deer, pronghorn, moose, heard some pika (and mom saw one), I saw a marten, and various little ground squirrels and plenty of birds.

A few people walking along the Continental Divide

Maybe my favorite photo this trip...

Moose near Taylor Reservoir

Why did the moose cross the road?

Tin Cup - just a tourist stop for ATVers these days - but had an interesting past http://sweetheartsofthewest.blogspot.com/2011/06/tin-cup-colorado-mining-gold-on-several.html  http://www.ghosttowns.com/states/co/tincup.html  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tincup,_Colorado

We didn't really notice the stage road here, but when you're driving over Cottonwood Pass if you pay attention you can see the old stage road going up over the pass.

She sticking her tongue out at us ;)

On the return, there was a dusting of fresh snow at the pass that fell today - the stuff that looks like little white flowers is specks of fresh wet snow.
