Blodgett Peak Open Space 4-8-17

There was a note in the logs for this cache that CSFD signed it when they came across it working on the Waldo Canyon Fire.  This one was just 50 yards from the fire's edge.  There are others in the park that were destroyed in the fire and some that survived it - with charred logs still inside the container today.

Blodgett Peak

Pasque flowers - always one of the first of spring!

Using burned trees to help prevent erosion.

The tree skeletons are very stark. Let's hope there won't be a repeat of that fire any time soon.
