Canon City Birding 11-4-13

Cold day but some good birds.  Juniper Titmouse at Brush Hollow Reservoir, Greater Scaup at Centennial Park and Black Phoebe on the Canon City Riverwalk near See's Pond were all new birds.  Other really good birds were American Dipper in the Arkansas River, Scaled Quail in a brush pile not far from Valco Pond, and Lewis's Woodpecker at Holcim Wetlands.

Pigeons

Scaup

White-tailed Deer

American Dipper - so cute!

Scaled Quail - very  handsome

Great Blue Heron

Lewis's Woodpecker ( far away )

I love how it is almost only grey and yellow, like purposely made that way. I don't know much about birds and the sparrows and the pigeons are the only one I ever notice, but it is beautiful to see the amazing nature in its many ways.
