Well, dad is still not awake, and we still don't know much of anything about cause or prognosis for sure. He developed pneumonia in his lungs from that fluid he aspirated. They do seem to think he is getting a little better, his vital signs are more stable. So maybe in a few days they'll be able to take out the ventilator and let him really wake up and maybe then we'll know more.
It is pretty hard trying to keep up with work and school and going to the hospital all the time. I want to be there for him and my family, etc., but I found that if I stay at the hospital too much I get too emotional. Well, I'm about to head out there now to try to squeeze in a visit before my union meeting.
